The automobiles that our government will not allow us to drive…VW Passat gets 65.2 mpg in U.K.

The federal government revenue/tax is .45 cents for every gallon of gas. The oil companies make about .08 cents per gallon. The gas taxes are supposed to be allocated for highway and transportation infrastructure. We are not “allowed” to have these cars, because if we got better mileage,  the government would lose this revenue stream. If this does not make you mad, I don’t know what will. We have the technology, but government says no!
