I have seen this before. Dubbya was Prez at the time, and he did a damn poor job. They had warning on. Katrina made landfall on Aug 29 05. EVERYTHING WAS A MESS – Nobody knew what to do. The GUN BAN was put in effect on Sept 8 2005, and the ONLY video related to guns was the little old lady in this video, from whom they took a pistol. Gun ban lifted Sept 23 05, LOOKING like only over a thousand guns were grabbed.
