Why Is the Media Not Reporting on the Philly Abortion Clinic Doctor Trial?

Politics/National Debt

The progressives worship at the altar of women’s reproductive rights and the right to choose.  To cover the trial of Dr. Kermitt Gosnell and his house of horrors of an abortion clinic would expose the truth of these late-term abortions, which have been advocated by our president during his tenure in the Illinois state Senate.  Since 1973 when women won their right to abortion on demand, over 5o million babies have been aborted in the United States.   Planned Parenthood has provided “free” (which translates to paid for by the taxpayer) birth control to anyone who comes in, no questions asked.  “The pill” was approved for widespread use in 1960 in the United States.  Condoms have been around as far back as the 16th century and possibly longer.

With the wide-spread availability of birth control it makes one wonder why so many women get pregnant with unwanted children at all.  It is easier today than any other time in our history to prevent unwanted pregnancies.  Going one step further, if a woman has an unwanted pregnancy why would she wait until late in her pregnancy to get an abortion – long enough that the baby is viable once delivered?

One of the policies to come out of the “Affordable” Health Care Act becoming effective last August 1, 2012 mandated insurance companies to provide 100% of the cost for women’s health services.  At the time, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius stated: “President Obama is moving our country forward by giving women control over their health care.  This law puts women and their doctors, not insurance companies or the government, in charge of health care decisions.”

The government seems awfully interested in making sure that girls and women have unfettered access to every possible option when it comes to birth control and their reproductive rights.  What outcry would be heard if young men’s reproductive rights were equally addressed, where a young man could request a vasectomy without parental knowledge or consent?  Surely he should have the same access to reproductive health services as women.

Women, particularly minorities who are especially targeted, should wake up and realize they have been duped into believing that preventing an unwanted pregnancy rests solely on them.

Roe v. Wade did not empower women with the freedom of the right to choose.  Roe v. Wade permitted a male dominated misogynistic society to say to women:

“Sorry I got you pregnant babe, but you’re on your own!”

The callous disregard for human life and lack of personal responsibility for one’s actions, both women and men, has resulted in the horrors we are seeing with the Gosnell trial… and you can be assured this is not an isolated incident.  Sorry if it does not fit the progressive narrative, but the truth rarely does these days.
