As the horrors of legal abortion clinics and Planned Parenthood facilities are exposed, we have to take a good hard look at ourselves and the culture surrounding a woman’s right to choose. In 1973 we were convinced that women were dying because they had to resort to back alley abortion clinics or do it yourself methods with wire coat hangers. We were told women should have the chance to end an unwanted pregnancy safely and legally. How have we become so demoralized that abortion has become the “go-to” birth control method for nearly 54 million women since Roe v Wade in 1973? That is 54 million babies who never had the chance to be born in America, many of them minorities. Planned Parenthood dispenses free birth control. It would be interesting to see how many women actually avail themselves of the free condoms, IUDs, morning after pills, and birth control pills. Women have so many more choices today when it comes to birth control. Has abortion become the primary method of birth control in America? This is not birth control, this is not prevention of unwanted pregnancies, this is ending the life of a potential human being.
How can anyone say with 54 million abortions in 40 years since Roe v Wade that abortions have become rare?
Legal, yes…rare, no.
